AUSTRALIA AND U.S.A. TREMENDOUS INTEREST TRAINING TO COMMENCE Received May 11, 9.70 p.m. PHILADELPHIA, May 10. The Australian Davis Gup team arrived from Pittsburgh to-day and established their at the Germantown Cricket Club, where they will remain until the matches with United States, starting on May 30. Sp route informed the Australian Associated Press that the mu art in the best condition but are tired from travelling. They will probably not start a serious training routine until Tuesday. The coming matches are considered the most important international tennis here since France won the Davis Cup from America in 1927 and a tremendous amount of interest has developed. Advance seat sales already exceed 8000 dollars, indicating that all of the 650'J seats will be taken. In fact, plans are being made to enlarge the seating arrangement. The American team established their headquarters at the Merion Cricket Club and will start training immediately. On behalf of the American team Van Ryu, with officials and lawn tennis associates, met the Australians at the railway station and. escorted them to Germantown. FRANCE LEADS HOLLAND THE HAGUE, May 10. In a Davis Cup second-round match. France and Holland have each won one game. Timmer (Holland) beat Boussus (France), 6—3, 6—3, 6—l. Destremeau (France) beat Hughan (Holland), 6—4, 3—6, 3 —6, 6—4, 6—l. In the doubles Borotra and Bernard (France) defeated Timmer and Karsten. (Holland), 6—l, 6 —3, 6—B, 6 —2. GREECE ELIMINATED ATHENS, May 10. In a Davis Cup match Argentina eliminated Greece.
