KILLED BY TRAIN
MOTHER AND DAUGHTER NEWCASTLE, May 8. Run down by a train near Adamstown, Phyllis Wood, aged 15, was decapitated and her mother. Mrs Ada Wood, aged 54, was killed almost instantly. They were walking along the railway line and failed to notice the train which emerged from a cutting just before it struck thena.
