THE BRITISH CROWN MORE LABOUR ATTACKS Received May 8, 10.5 p.m. LONDON, May 8. Labour members again attacked the civil list in the second reading, Major Attlee moving that while it was desirous adequately to provide for the maintenance of the Royal household and the dignity of the Crown, the revenues from the duchies of Lancaster and Cornwall should be surrendered in exchange for a fixed annual sum. The amendment was defeated by 202 votes to 95.
