MAJESTIC THEATRE

“AGE OF INDISCRETION.” “When parents divorce —what rights have the children?” This is the question asked, and anowered with dramatic intensity in “Age of Indiscretion,” amazing drama of children of separation and the Law Courts, which starts to-day at the Majestic Theatre. The new pitcture, with Paul Lukas, Madge Evans, May Robson, and little David Jack Holt involved in the main action, is a graphic echo of several famous Court cases of recent times. Delving into the intimate facts, it has produced a gripping piece of human interest entertainment touched with high drama. May Robson plays a dominant character as the millionaire mother-in-law battling with her millions to wrest a child from the arms of his father following a separation. Lukas, as the fighting father, has one of the most unusual and interesting parts in his career. Despite the magnitude of its theme, it abounds in deft human touches. An elaborate cast surrounds the principals. Beautiful Helen Vinson plays the philandering wife skilfully, and Ralph Forbes is ideally cast in the “other*man.” Catharine Doucet adds comedy in the role of a fiuttery authoress of trashy fiction, as does Shirley Ross as Madge Evans’ friend. The great skating rink sequence, the night club, the cabin’ in the woods, the snow sequences all add dash and colour to the brilliant performance of the players in the powerful new story.
