INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL

AN AMBITIOUS PRODUCTION. In the past the Wanganui Intermediate School has gained a high reputation for first-class concerts and this year this standard will be maintained by a very ambitious production. A large company of pupils will present a musical version of Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s I Dream” in the Opera House to-night : and to-morrow night. Percy A. Scholes ' has arranged the plots that deal with the loorcry of Bottom and his ; Athenian rustico. and the revels of Oberon and Titania, into a complete play. The text of England’s great bard has not been altered, and th<j charming music for chorus, solos and ■ dunces has been composed by Marton Shaw —a leading composer in England Ino-day. The play will be preceded by i short items by the school choir and I the verse-speaking choir. Seats may ; be reserved free at the school office.
