PALAIS DE DANSE

Autumn weather has imposed cooler conditions and given an added zest to dancing, which is to bo seen in still greater numbers to the Druids’ Hall, where the Palais de IDanse hold their jolly functions. The hall presented a brilliant scene of gaiety on Saturday evening and the large floor was packed to its utmost capacity and it required a number of sittings to serve the dainty supper. Beneath festoons of myriad lights, the charm of superlative music, contributed by the Palais Dance Band, the dancers whirled until the midnight hour was reached. The event of the evening was reached with the announcement of the Monte Carlo, and Miss Connabeer and Mr. Byres. Miss Palmer and Mr. Austin, Miss »S. Clutterbuck and Mr. Couston were the lucky recipients, and were heartily applauded by those less fortunate. Mr. Bert Gilroy, as usual, fulfilled the duties of M.C. in his inimitable manner, and brought a highly successful function to a happy termination.
