Princess Marina had a triumphant 1 progress from Folkestone to London. 1 Thousands of people cheered her on c disembarking from the Channel steamer ? and shouted: “Welcome to our Prim- s cess,” men and women waving hats and handkerchiefs. 1 As the train sped to London country ( folk waved their greetings. Princess Marina described her reception as “really too marvellous.” Prince George welcomed the Princess with an affectionate kiss as she descended from the train at Victoria Station. Thousands of people, mostly women, waited for hours to see Princess Marina. The pair drove to York House, the crowds strewing flowers on the way. In. response to vociferous cheering, the couple appeared at a window, Prince George blushing like a schoolboy. Princess Marina was more at ease and eaught the crowd’s enthusiasm. She waved both hands vigorously. Equally large and enthusiastic 1 •row ds gathered at King’s Cross, from e which, station Prince George and Printess Marina and her parents departed f for Balmoral. Princess Marina opened 1 the window of the carriage and cried “Thank you” and waved to the crowd until the train was out of sight. CREEK COLONY’S BOUQUET. Received Sept. 17, 10.5 p.m. LONDON, Sept. 17 A small Girl Guide, after waiting an hour to see Princess Marina arrive at Victoria Station, was given permission to present her with a bouquet, and was Rewarded with a charming smile.
