SPEEDBOAT RACING

N.Z. CHAMPIONSHIP. [ Per Press Association. ] CHRISTCHURCH, Jan. 26. At a meeting of the Canterbury •Sailing and Power Boat Association. Mr. G. R. Curtis reporteed that, owing to delay in the preparation of Otago’s boat, there seemed little prospect of the New Zealand speedboat championship being held during Sanders Cup week. There is a possibility that entries will be forthcoming from Wanganui and Nelson if the contest is postponed. It was deci tied that the contest be postponed until such time as representative enti es are forthcoming.
