Solar Eclipse
OBSERVATIONS IN AMERICA AEROPLANES TO BE USED 'Ey Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright] Received August 30, 7 55 p m. CONWAY (N.H.), Aug. 29. Twenty-five expeditions, including scientists from all parts of the world, have assembled here with elaborate equipment to take observations of the eclipse of the sun at 3.30 on Wednesday afternoon. Although astronomers predominate among the trained observers, there arc also chemists, metorologists, physicists and biologists. All are prepared to study the phenomenon from the viewpoint of their own problems. Besides various instruments trained from the ground, airplanes, autogiros and balloons will be used to carry cameras and ot'her devices. One aerial expedition plans to ascend five miles or more for observations. The totality path lies over the noted summer resort ajjea of New England, and tho event, having attracted great popular interest, thc whole countryside is exceptionally crowded with visitors.
