POWER BOARD ELECTION The election for Alanawatu County representatives on the ATanawatu-Oroua Power Board created only moderate interest. Tho sitting members, Messrs J. H. Porrett and 11. JI. Hunt were both defeated. Mr J. Boyce (Dairyfarmers’ Union) and E. O. Bond (Consumers’ Association) were at the head of the poll. The total votes wore as follow: J. Bovce 23: E. O. Bond 226, J. H.
