TATTERSALL’S CLUB MEETING CARRINGTON STAKES DAY Received Doe. 28. 7.5 p.m. SYDNEY, Doc. 28. Sydney Tattersail’s races were held in bright sunshine. The attendance was moderate. Chief results are as follows: Chelmsford Handicap.— Tippc 8 5 (Horncry) 1, Sunlit Roof 8.0 (Knox) 2. Tantrum, 7.6 (Pratt) 3. Fourteen started. Threequarters of a length. Time 1.38 f. Carrington Stakes (Six Furlongs.) PAVILION, 5.5. McCarten 1 WANGOOLA, 8.9, ATatthews .. .. 2 HIGH DISDAIN. 9.4, Cook 3 Sixteen started. Pavilion shot to the front in the straight and won brilliantly by a length and a-half from Wangoola. with High Disdain half a length off, third. Cleave was next and then Greenline. Time I.lo}. Demnan Handicap. (Mile and a quarter.) SPEARMAN, 8.10, Johnstone .... 1 GESTE, 8.11, Pike 2 DON MOON, 8.4. Williams 3 Seven started. Necx; four lengths. Time 2.5. The hurdlers Praeter, Paul T and Kinross fell in the hurdle’ race. Kinross rather seriously cut his legs and chest. Carter, rider of Praeter, suffered from severe head injuries. Funnel fell and boko a leg in the Paco Welter and had to be destroyed.
