Millions Stolen
A HOLLYWOOD SENSATION HUGE MISAPPROPRIATIONS [By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright.] Received Dec. 14, 5.5 p.m. LOS ANGELES, Dec. 12. A confession that he had misappropriated “several million dollars” of th funds of the Guaranty Building and Loan Association was made by the secretary and general manager, who was arrested to-day on a charge of grand larceny. The Board of directors state that the defalcations might reach 8,000,000 dollars out of the total resources of 11,530,000 dollars* The discovery was made after the closing of the bank of Hollywood earlier in the week, of which the secretary in question was also chairman of the bank Board.
