Received Nov. 14, 10.30 p.m. SYDNEY, Nov. 14. There was a sensational clash in the city when 80 men and women came into conflict with a squad of police. A crowd was proceeding to the Premier’s oflicc when the police intervened. A fierce scuffle followed, and during the light screams and oaths rent the air. The police and their prisoners rolled in the street as they fought.

Police cars were rushed to the Central Station, where six were detained. A later message states that 12 persons have been arrested and are variously charged with taking part in an unlawful procession, resisting arrest, and inciting to resist arrest.
