[By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. J Received Nov. 14, 8.30 p.m. TOKIO, Nov. 14. The Prime Minister, Osachi Hamaguchi, who was about to entrain ai Tokio to attend the military manoeuvres, was shot in the groin by an attempting assassin, and is reported to be in a serious condition.
It was found impossible to remove the Prime Minister from the station. It is understood that the bullet penetrated the intestines. llamaguchi is suffering severely but is consicous.
A later message states that following a transfusion of his son’s blood, the Premier was carried to a hospital, where he was operated on and the in jured parts of the intestine removed. The doctors are hopeful of his rccovc i y.
