A conference of delegates from the hospital boards of the North Island to-day declined to form a group to take over the administration of the Pukeora and Otaki sanitoria from the Department of Health, in vie’ of the fact that the institutions were being economically run already, conditions of admission were satisfactory, and there was nothing to show that the boards could run these sanitoria more efficiently.
