SENTENCE AROUSES WIDE INDIGNATION
NEW EVIDENCE PROMISED IE CASE IS RE-OPENED (Australian Press Association.) SYDNEY, Dec. 7. Over 300 residents of Woy Woy have signed a petition asking that the sentence passed on Martin Jacobsen for an offence on a girl be reviewed . Public indignation has been aroused over the sentence on Jacobsen, who was formerly engaged to the girl, who was among the first to sign the petition. Public meetings are being held in the town, and feeling is high. It is said that, new evidence would be available if the case was re-opened-
