DECLINE IN PRICES L Per Press Association. ] FEILDING, Oct. 5. A sharp decline in fat sheep and fat cattle was a feature of the stock sal tOiday when heavy yardings were offered. Fat sheep were down probably 2s 6d a head on last week’s prices and many lines were passed in. The auctioneers had difficulty in quitting those sold. Prices were: Eat—B.f. hoggets 27s to 30s, specially prime 435, woolly hoggetts 35s to 395, ewes shorn 23s to 275, woolly 27s lOd. to 375, four-tooth ewes 33s 3d t 355, woolly wethers 36s 6d to 42s 9d. shorn wethers 29s 6d. Sto cs: Wether hoggetts 30s 5d to 365, a drop of about 2s a head. Ewe hoggetts 35s 5d to 44s 6d—about on a par with last week. Empty ewes 21s, ewes with 100'per cent lambs 455, others passed at 48s. There was a’ heavy yarding of dairy cows and fat, cattle the latter I cing .down £2 a head. Fat bullocks, wo and four year, £l2 8s to £l3 6s, others p.iffCid. at £l2 10s (not first qutjty), S.H. heifers £6 to £8 10s, 8.
