BRIGADE IS POWERLESS [ Per Press Association. 1 TE KUITI, Oct. 5. The five-roomed dwelling, owned and occupied by AV. A. Afoonic, of A’iew Road, was completely destroyed by fire at ll t 4 o’clock last night. Tho house was situated in a part of the town where the water supply was weak. The brigaide was accordingly powerless. The piano and a little furniture only wore saved. Tho house was insured in the State Fire Office for £5OO and thc furniture for £3OO in thc same office.
