HEAVY FIRE LOSS
SHOPS AND FACTORIES BURNED. [ Australian Press ssn. J SYDNEY, Oct. 5. A fierce fire in Elizabeth Street. Paddington, destroyed several shops and two factories, w’hile five men, including two firemen, were injured. The damage is o”CT "12,000. There was a thrilling spectacle when an avalanche of bricks fell, some of which struck firemen an 1 spectators. The burned premises were insured in the National Insurance Company of New Zealand.
