ABOLITION OF NEW HEBRIDES CONDOMINIUM
A FRENCH SUGGESTION [ Australian Press Assn. ] Received Oct. 5. 10 p.m PARIS. Oct. 5. The abolition of the ”'w Hebrides condominium is advocated by Al. Jean Laveyrie, in an article in the Petit Journal. He points out that 4000 Tonkin labourers, 800 French and 350 British, mostly Australians, arc employed and that commerce is divided proportionately. Development is thus retanded. Af Laveyrie suggests France should take the northern group which she has done most to develop and Britain the southern.
