A motion of sympathy with Air C. J. S. Harcourt, of Wellington, in the death of his father, and Mr P. B. Foote, of Timaru, in the death of his mother, was passed at the conference of real estate agents hcl.d in Wanganui yesterday.

Air S. Powdrell was elected a life member of the Wanganui Lawn Tennis Association at the annual meeting of delegates on Thursday night, appreciation being recorded of his long and valued services in the cause of tennis in Wanganui. Alcmbers of the committee spoke in glowing terms of Air Powdrcll’s work. He is the first life mem ber elected.
