BOWLING
ST. JOHN’S CLUB NEW SEASON OPENS TO-DAY. The official opening of the 1928-29 season for the St. John’s Bowling Club will take place to-day at 2 p.m. and the ceremony will be proceeded with whether the green is fit for play or not. Considerable improvements to the entrance and pathways have been made during the winter and the greens are in great codition. A cordial invitation is extended to visiting bowlers, intending members and the ladies to be present at to-day’s function.
