Shortening of Names
The society for the Saving of Time, a newly-founded efficiency organisation in France, has decided in favour of shortening of names. It is proposed to limit family names to five letters and other names to two. In this way, it is declared, the business world ’would save millions of pounds in correspondence yearly.
