The stud sheep for Australia were all destined for New South Wales, and. a number of the top stud rams were for exhibition at the Sydney Sheep Show, held at the end of June. The Lincolns were confined to two stud ranis from the flocks of Mr A. D. McMaster, while, the five Southdown rams were from the flock of Mr P. D. McLachlan, the latter two breeders being also in the Wairarapa. The consignments for the Argentine comprised 21 stud Corriedale rams, all from the flock of Mr H. T. Little, Hui Hui, Canterbury, and included the toppriced ram at the last Christchurch Kam Fair, which is to be exhibited at the International Show at Palermo in September. The 20 Lincoln rams in this consignment were all from the Wairarapa, Mr A. 1). McMaster supplying six, Mr L. R. Wilton three, the McGregor Estate two, Mr William Raynor six, and Mr A. E. Uruguayan orders were comprised of a small lot of Corriedales, Romneys, and Lincolns. The former included six specially-selected stud ewes, three being bred by Mr J. A. Johnstone, of Bushey Park, and three by Mr H. T. Little. The latter also supplied six stud ram hoggets, and Mr William White, Hawarden, Canterbury, one stud ram hogget. The Lincolns were again from the Wairarapa, Mr A. I). McMaster supplying three stud rams and the McGregor Estate two. Only three Romneys wore sent, two rams being bred by *Mr F. E. Dorset, and one by Messrs Jllatchford Bros., both of Masterton.

The consignment of five stud Romney rams for the. United States was from the flock of Mr .T. (L Alexander, of Maxwell, a young breeder who has recently come very much into prominence. These- are being shipped per the Golden Coast to San Francisco, and arc destined for Yakima, in the State of Washington. It will be remembered that last year the United States took a considerable number of our Corriedale and Romney sheep, and reports to hand are that they arc doing exceptionally well, and it is hoped that further orders will be placed this year. The present consignment of Romneys is the first that has gone, forward for two’ years, and as the rams supplied by Mr Alexander are of excellent quality, it is hoped that a considerable business will be developed.
