Wales come reports of torrential rains resulting in floods which have been responsible for the isolation of many coastal towns. All the low-lying parts in Brisbane arc under water and floods are being experienced in all the creeks and rivers on the Darling Downs. At Warwick, Horace Barnett, while attempting to cross a creek was swept away anti drowned. All the creeks in tho Malcny district are in high floods and fears are entertained for the safety of the man traffic bridge in the Conroy district. A heavy landslide in the Eck district, near ALoore, blocked tho rac.way line and the creeks of the Esk are carrying a greater volume of water than in the 1893 floods. In the Stanley River at Royston the waters are 18ft over the railway bridge. The Brisbane River at Muramurba is 46 feet over the bridge and is rising at the rate of two feet an .hour.
