WAIMARINO COUNTY COUNCIL 1 Special •’Chronicle” Service. ] The monthly meeting of the County Council was held on Saturday, there being present Councillors A. B. Harris, (chairman), J. Alorton, T. E. AlcLean, <J. 11. Ball, D. Strachan, also the county engineer and the clerk. Air 11. J. Angus waited on the Council in reference to the bad state of a portion of the Pukekaha Roaa. He said that if the Council would grit about lour chains it would give a serviceable winter road, and he was willing to help with the work. —The matter was leit in the engineer’s hands to deal with. Air H. J. Alanson wrote directing the Council’s attention to the bad state of the Pipipi road and asked to have the road put in order before the winter.—The Council resolved to repair the road. The Valuation Department advised that owing to other pressing work, the revision of the valuation rolls for the Waimarino County Council could not be undertaken this year, but it was hoped to have the new valuations available for the rating year 1929-1930.
