Having completed th?, investigational work in the North Lsland for the creation of timber standards for the industry, Mr R. Ward, Acting-Engineer of State Forest Products to the Forestry Department, is now in Christchurch. Mr Ward is commencing the collection of data in the South Island and !it is anticipated that this work will take at least a month. After this all will be ready for the calling of a conference by the DepartCommittee appointed by the Minister of Industries and Commerce to deal with the problem.
