HEAD-ON COLLISION
CAR MEETS CAR ACCIDENT ON MANGAWEKA HILL. While motoring home in a light car from Ohingaiti to Ohutu last evening, Mr. George Terry and family came into head-on collision on a dangerous bend of the Mangaweka Hill with a heavier car driven by a Mr. Rendall, of Auckland. As a result of the collision, Mr. Terry’s son was badly cut by flying glass. He was later conveyed by car to the Taihape Hospital by Mr. G. E. Little, who was near at hand when the accident occurred. The bend in the road —known, locally as McGuinn’s —is a particularly difficult spot to negotiate. Mr. Terry’s car was very badly_damaged, but Mr. Rendall’s vehicle, though severely knocked about, was able to proceed to Mangaweka.
