GRANDSTAND BURNED DOWN EXCITING INCIDENT AT CAULFIELD. Received Feb. 13, 10.30 p.m. MELBOURNE, Feb. 13. During the second race at Caulfield yesterday, fire broke out in the Guinta stand. The occupants refused to leave the stand until the race finished, then they came down with a rush and watched the structure burn to the ground. The damage is estimated at £50,000. There was no water available for the fire brigade, which was unable to help.
