NEW ZEALAND TITLE BROWN EXPECTED TO WIN [Per Press Association.] DUNEDIN, April 6. The New Zealand draughts championship is nearing its final stages. In the championship class G. A. Brown (Christchurch) has played so consistently that it is certain he will win the title. The full scores made in the various sections are as follows: — Section E.—Bolting 61-, Hutchins 6£, Moore 5, Henry 41, Ellis 4, G. S. Templeton 3£. Section G.—Lucas 9, Gibbard 6, Rendall SA, Templeton 5, L. Morris 4, Longstaff i. Section F.—Murdoch 9|.
