MAN WITH DELUSIONS THREATENING LETTERS LONDON. Dec. 11. John Fairrlnugh, employed as a port er. has been sentenced to three years’ imprisonment for sending a letter threatening murder to Mr H. Day, who is a. theatrical producer. A detective gave, evidence that, after conviction for theft, the accused threatened the prosecutor’s wife, and recent ly had threatened several actors and actresses. A police doctor gave evidence that the man was suffering from a delusion that theatrical persons were persecut ing him, Air Justice Shearman, in sentencing the accused, recalled that a lunatic with a grievance murdered William Te.rriss. Sometimes threats like Fairclough's matured.
