I ho Customs officials to-night raided the Dutch steamer Hermes, which is unloading oil from Singapore, ami captured 41bs of opium, of a value of about. £lOO, packed in tubes i:;sctead of the usual tins. Nothing was found on the first scorch, but the second was more successful. Another seizure was made while the vessel was in Auckland.
