KEEPING A GAMING HOUSE
OWNER AND OCCUPIER FINED DUNEDIN, April 1. At the Police Court, Arthur Lawrence, wno Keeps a fish shop, was fined £5O for using the premises as a gaming house. Arthur Francis Lawrence, the father, was fined £25 for allowing them to be so used. John Alfred Barwick war fined £5 on two charges of assisting. The police stated that a bad feature was that many women featured among the customers.
