BLIND SOLDIERS.

(Per Press Association.? , WELLINGTON, Aug. 16. At a meeting of the Advisory Board of the Patriotic War Relief Society to-day on the question of a jtlind soldiers’ fund on the lines suggested by Mr Clutiia Mackenzie, it was decided, in view of the diversion of opinion amongst societies, and as the'blinded soldiers are receiving pensions as well as liberal assistance where required from the Repatriation Department, it was not. necessary to take further action to establish a separate fund, particularly as such a’ course would be opposed to the established principle that moneys are not to be distinctively set aside for any particular section of wounded men, but that each case should be treated on its merits. •
