(Her Press Association.)! NEW PLYMOUTH, Aug. 18. The Supreme Court sessions opened ‘.o-day, Justice Sir John Salmond presiding. In the charge to the grand jury, his Honour said he regretted to note that all the cases for rne present criminal sittings concerned sexual offences. True bills were returned in all cases. William Webberley, who pleaded guilty to Incest at Kaponga in May, was sentenced to iiv« years’ imprisonment with hard labour. His Honour, in addressing the accused, pointed out that the crime was the most abhorrent of offences. Hilda L. Davey, a'-young married woman, who had pleaded guilty in the Lower Court to the theft of about £4O, was admitted to two years’ probation.
