EYES ON POLITICAL POWER. Received August 16, 10.5 p.m. LONDON, August 15. Mr. Egerton P. Wake, National agent of the Labour Party, is resigning from his candidature for Barrow on the ground of the increasing responsibilities of his position. He writes: “We anticipate a general election within a few months, for which we are trying to obtain five' hundred Labour candidates. We intend to organise the greatest attempt so far made to capture political power.
