Received August 15, 10.30 p.m. MELBOURNE, August 15. An action has commenced in which Mr. Willis, secretary of the Australian Coal and Shale Employers Federation, is claiming £5OOO damages for alleged libel from the Argus Newspaper Company for an alleged libel published in connection with the stewards’ strike, which referred to Mr. Willis as a wrecker and as an undesirable importation from America.
