DOMINIONS DEPARTMENT.
URGED BY HIGH COMMISSIONER. Received Jan. 9. U. 5 p.m. LONDON, Jan. 8. Sir James Allen, in an Interview with the Globe, emphasised the necessity for the creation of a Dominions Department under a member of Cabinet of first rank, and so bring about a clear differentiation between the affairs of Dominions and the Crown Colonies. The Agents-Gen-eral are waiting as a deputation on Mr. CcCurdy, asking for increased space for the fruit of next season.
