CHARGE OF MANSLAUGHTER.

(Per Press Association.) NEW PLYMOUTH, Jan. 9. On Saturday afternoon John Barras. of New Plymouth, was arrested on t charge of manslaughter arising out of the death of Miss Ruby ('dates, as the result, of a motor collision on New Year’s Eve Miss Coates was in a motor cyclo side car and Barras was the driver of the motor car which struck the cxcle. At the inquest the verdict was that the collision was duo to Barias being on the wrong side of the road He appeared, before a J.P. and was remanded on bail.
