FAREWELL TO MR. STOREY. SYDNEY, Jan. 7. Mr Storey, speaking at the Labour Party’s farewell luncheon, said that whatever happened in regard to financial obligations, the State would never be guilty of repudiation. SYDNEY, Jan. 7. Mr S. Bird, president of the Illawarra Coalminers’ Association, replying to the charge of reduced output, stated that Australian miners produced considerably more daily than the American, and twice as much as the British miners SYDNEY. Jan. 7. Mr Moate, the stewards’ general secretary, states that members were preparing for a struggle to last for months. Their finances would hold .out for half a year.
