SUFFRAGETTE MILITANCY.
LONDON, Jan. 5. Suffragette militancy was recalled at M indsor, when Harold Hewitt surrendered to the police in connection with an attempt to stop the Ascot Gold Cup race in 1913. When Hewitt rushed on the course brandishing a revolver and a Suffragist flag the horse Tracery fell, and the .jockey (Whalley) and Hewitt were iniurdd. Hewitt was remanded on a charge of grievously harming Whalley.
