As soon as this is done it is expected it will be possible to refloat the vessel. The City of Newcastle was due at Wellington yesterday from Auckland. She has 2500 tons of cargo aboard, and after discharge is to sail for Sydney. She will probably get away on Friday. Advice received on Saturday from Foxton stated that the Kennedy was still ashore, but it was hoped to tow her off yesterday. The Port Augusta was due at Wellington yesterday from Auckland to continue discharge of her New York cargo. She will later go south. The Union Company’s steamer Waimarino arrived at Wellington on Sunday from Vancouver with cargo for discharge there.
