THE WOOL MARKET.

To the Editor. Sir, —In to-night’s Herald I see that Mr Newman states that a member had received cabled advice from London that the present accumulation of wool in England was one million bales. In August last I read Uiat there were three million bales 'and the consumption per month was 250,000 bales. We may say that two months has elapsed since August. Could you tell me where the odd million and a half bales have gone to? Or do you think that English wool brokers are trying to bear the market? It looks to me very much like the last question, as I cannot remember ever having heard of three million bales of wool too many in England, especially after this last great war, when I should think notably several bales of wool were buried in France. I should like to warn the farmers of New Zealand not to be in too great a hurry to accept a low price for their wool. I may say lam not 1 interested financially, as my total Clip is four fleeces.—l am, etc., W. D. PRESTON. P.S.—I should like some abler writer on this subject to take this matter up.—W.D.P. Sandy Hook, Aramoho, Nov. 5, 1920. '
