THE PALESTINE CAMPAIGN
(Eeuter.)
Received September 2, 5.5 p.m LONDON, September 1
Since the operation of last April, there have been no important actions on, the Palestine front. The conditions on both sides are more or less trench warfare. The opposing lines are close together near Gaza, and gradually grow further apart as they enter the barren inhospitable region further south, until finally they tail off altogether inthe desert, where the Anzac and Imperial mounted divisions keep watch over the right flank. •
