DIUOCDIN, Feb. 7. Tn an intcrviey, the Hon. Russell stated that ;i normal number oi: soldiers were returning to New Zealand suffering from consumption, but unfortunately there were many instances where consumption developed after the men returned. The Government was now dealing in convalescent homes and hospitals with nearly as irfany discharged soldiers as undischarged. The number applying for treatment in institutions as discharged soldiers was steadily increasing. Until the pressure cf consumptive cases became greater, the Government was not'likely to increase the number or institutions now under control.
