RAETIHI STOCK SALE.
Freeman R. Jackson and Co., Ltd., report as follows: — At our Raetihi sale on Friday we had a big yarding, some 4500 sheep and 350 head of cattle being penned. The sale commence somewhat dull for sheep but livened up a good deal towards toe end. Cattle did not meet with a very keen demand, some good Lines of grown steers not being sought after. We quote:—
Fat steers £15; fresh 3-year steers £12 10s; forward cows and calv,es £12; forward cows £10 Is to £10 2s 6d; 2year steers £9 ss; store cows £8 10s 8d to £8 lls; ] 5-month steers £6 19s 6d; 2-year heifers £7 9s 6d; weaners £2 3s to" £4; good 2-th wethers 31s 7d to 34s Id; 4-tooth wethers 34s 6d; medium 2-th wethers 28s 6d; 6-th woolly ew.es £2 0s 6d; s.m. ewes 21s 7d to 235; good lambs 15s to 17s; cull lambs 8s 6d to 9s 7d; mixed age Lincoln rams, 6 gns; ditto Romney, 5 to 6 gns.
