Detectives Pattinson and Mitchell at Sydney on the 25th January and taken to the Central Police fetation, where two separate charges of forgery and uttering were laid against him. to -
The charges in question were:. ''That on Or about Decoznber 21, 1916. at Sydney, in the State of New South Wales he did forge the name of W H; Pridham to a cheque foi; the payment of money aJttd did utter same with intent to defraud," and "that on or about January 2,1917, at Sydney, in the State of New s*n+H Wales*,' he "did forge the name of W H. Pridham to a cheque for the payment of money, and did utter same with ictent to defraud."
The cheques above referred to were of th sums of .£lO6l 7s and ,£IOOO 7s 6d.
