To-night (Wednesday)--at the". Of era House, Mr; Phillip Lytton will produce his Australian comedy "The Waybacks," which secured such a jphenoinena! success in the Commoniwealth and since has entirely captivated New Ze.altnd. Those who engoy a humorous picture of bush life ■will' find a feast of entertainment in tl]is unusual production. The frankly comic, but, at. the same time rea> istic characters are admirably acted: the inci'en's "of the bush family's visit to Sycney, including old "dad's" encounter with the confidence men, Ms interview with the Cabinet Minister, scarcely less of a trickster, and the hilarious experience in a backyard at Balmain all contribute to keeping the audience in one constant roar of laughter. The setting of the Sydney scenes introduces very effective, local colour, and the bottle-ohs. tradesmen, machine agents, and brazen-tongued neighbours give the Waybacks such a lively time that, they quickly make tracks for the bush again.
