* During the months of Decembef and January, the following new gp©:i» niens were received at tne \vanganui •Public Museum Fijian. Tapa Cloth, Mr. E. Bull; three species of fungi, Mrs. F. Wilson < (Waverley); Peacock, Wanganoii Jockey Club; Browff-~-<. Kiwi, Mrs. Q. W. Palmer; Shining Uuckoo in abnormal plumage.) W. Aylward (Kohurttahi); large dragonfly, Mrs. J. A. Clelland; two species of foreign birtis, Mr. Anderson (St. John's Hill); two chicks of the Red Bill (or Black Oyster Catcher^ have also been procured and are how on exhibition. These birds are mounted upon a piece of groundwork representing a very striking example of nature's, protective colouring.
