SUPREME COURT.

AUCKLAND, February 5. Mr Justice Hosking, at the opening of the Supreme Court this morning, made reference to the short calender presented for the session. He said that of eleven cases six were sexual offences. If the high percentage of such cases continued it would be necessary to consider whether some more drastic proposal than the law now provides should not be brought into force.
